This article is about appointments (1:1 sessions) on your public booking page: how to choose whether clients see appointments, group classes, or both, and what the booking process for an appointment looks like from the client's perspective. Booking group classes, courses, and events isn't covered here.
How do I show appointments on my public page (or group classes and appointments together)?
Setting up services, specialists, and availability isn't enough — you also choose what your public page shows:
Go to Settings › Schedule page and open the Public schedule tab.
In What to show on your public page, choose Group classes, Appointments, or Both.
If you choose Both, also pick the Default tab when both are enabled: Group classes or Appointments. This is the tab clients see first.
If Appointments or Both isn't selected, clients don't see your services on the public page, even when services and specialists are set up.
Switching between classes and appointments
When Both is selected, clients see a switcher on the public page with the tabs Group Classes and Individual (on small screens Classes and 1:1). It lets them move between the group class schedule and appointment booking.
Step 1: Selecting a service
On the appointments tab, the client chooses a service under Select a service. On a computer, services are also shown as cards. In the drop-down list, services are grouped by category. Browse all services opens an overview of all your services.
Step 2: Selecting a specialist
After choosing a service, the client selects a specialist under Select a specialist.
Step 3: Selecting a duration variant
If the service offers multiple duration variants (e.g., 30, 60, 90 minutes), the client selects their preferred duration under Select a variant. For each variant, they see the name or duration and the price.
If the service has only a fixed duration, this step is skipped.
Step 4: Selecting a date and time
This is the key step of the booking process. The client sees:
Calendar
Under Select a date, a mini calendar shows the days of the month. Days are marked like this:
Days with free times — marked with a green dot; the client can click on them.
Fully booked days — marked with a red dot. The client can still click the day to see the booked times.
Unavailable days — greyed out and can't be selected (past days and days without any times).
Time slots
After clicking on a day, the free times are displayed under Select a time. Each slot shows the start time and the duration. Times that are already booked are listed in a collapsible section Booked times (with their number); the client can view them but can't book them.
Watching a booked time
In the Booked times section, the client can click the bell icon (Watch) next to a booked time and confirm with Set up notification. A client who isn't logged in enters an email address first. If that time becomes available (e.g., another client cancels), Zenamu sends them an email.
Step 5: Payment and completion
After selecting a time slot, the client clicks Continue to payment and completes the booking:
Client details
If the client is logged in, their details are filled in automatically.
A client who isn't logged in can book only if Allow unregistered clients to book is checked in Settings › Bookings and rules › Bookings. Then they enter their details (such as email and name). Otherwise, they're asked to log in or register first.
Booking for a child
If the service allows it and the client has registered children in their profile, they can select the child they're booking for.
Payment method
The client chooses a payment method from the options you've configured (card, PayPal, bank transfer, on-site, credit/pass).
Legal consents
Before completing, the client may be asked for:
Agreement with terms and conditions
Consent to personal data processing
Signing a waiver (health declaration, liability statement, etc.)
Completion
After filling in all details and clicking Complete booking, the booking is created. The client sees a confirmation screen and receives an email.
After booking
On the confirmation screen, the client sees:
Booking summary — Service, specialist, date, time, location.
Booking status — "Booking confirmed!" or "Awaiting confirmation" (if the specialist has to confirm the booking first).
Payment information — Payment status, or bank transfer details if applicable.
Custom message — If you've set one for the service (e.g., preparation instructions).
Your booking link — A link the client can save to view and manage the booking later.
Managing your own bookings
A logged-in client sees the section My upcoming bookings at the top of the appointments page. It lists their upcoming appointments (not past ones), and the client can:
See their upcoming appointments
Cancel a booking (if the cancellation policy allows it)
