With Zenamu, you can reach all your clients at once, for example to announce a new course or invite them to a workshop. Connect Zenamu to Mailchimp and your client contacts sync across automatically, so your newsletter list stays up to date.
What is Mailchimp?
Mailchimp is one of the most popular tools for creating and sending email campaigns. You can build newsletters from ready-made templates and even add simple surveys. It's easy to use, and the basic version is free.
Before you start
You'll need a Mailchimp account. If you don't have one yet, create one first.
Connect Mailchimp in Zenamu
In Zenamu, go to Settings > Marketing and promo and open the Marketing tab.
Under Email marketing integrations, find the Mailchimp card and click Connect Mailchimp account.
You'll be redirected to Mailchimp. Sign in with your Mailchimp credentials, then click Allow to give Zenamu access to your account.
Back in Zenamu, choose the Mailchimp list (Audience) your contacts should sync to. Your clients' contacts are then copied to that list.
How syncing and consent work
Once connected, your client contacts sync to Mailchimp automatically. New clients are added as they appear in Zenamu, typically after they book a class or when you add them manually.
Whether a client receives your newsletters depends on their Marketing consent in Zenamu, shown in the Marketing consent column of your client list. Clients who have given consent are synced as subscribed. Clients without consent are still added to Mailchimp, but their email is marked as unsubscribed.
If a client unsubscribes from a newsletter you sent through Mailchimp, that change is reflected back in Zenamu and their Marketing consent is switched off. To sign someone up again, turn their Marketing consent back on.
Note: You can have only one active integration at a time. Turning on another one automatically disconnects the current one and stops syncing contacts.
What client data is synced to Mailchimp?
First and last name
Email
Phone number (if available)
Birthday (if available)
Zenamu tags (if any are assigned)
To switch to a different Mailchimp list, click Disconnect Mailchimp list in the Mailchimp card and connect again.
