This article shows where to find clients who were on the waitlist for a class that has already taken place, and what happened to their payment. People who only signed up for Notify me emails were never on the waitlist.
Where do I find former waitlist participants?
Open the class detail:
The Waitlist tab lists only clients who are still waiting for a spot. For a past class it's empty.
Former waitlist participants stay among the class's bookings with a cancelled status. Waitlist (cancelled by studio) means Zenamu released them automatically or you cancelled their waitlist booking. Cancelled (waitlist) means the client cancelled their waitlist booking themselves.
The Notify me tab is empty too. Those sign-ups are deleted once the cancellation deadline passes, so they aren't kept for past classes.
What happened to their payment?
Waitlist participants who didn't get a spot are released automatically, so you don't have to do anything:
Credits and entries — the hold is cancelled and the amount goes back to the client's account once the cancellation deadline passes.
Memberships — nothing was charged, so the membership stays as it is.
Make-up sessions — the make-up becomes available again once the cancellation deadline passes.
Card (Stripe) and PayPal — the payment is refunded automatically and the order is cancelled once the class has started.
This is why the waitlist can look empty well before the class: with a 24-hour cancellation deadline, credits, entries and make-ups are released 24 hours before the class starts.
