Does the booking interface switch language automatically based on the browser language?

Does Zenamu support English? How to handle bilingual class descriptions?

Zenamu supports more than 10 languages, including English. The language is set automatically based on the preferred language in the user's browser — for the app, the plugins, and even receipt generation.

You can also switch the language directly in the app using the selector in the top right corner of the navigation bar.

Zenamu doesn't support switching class descriptions between languages. For bilingual class names, we recommend using a slash format (Název lekce/Class Name) and using the WYSIWYG editor's formatting options for descriptions.

TIP: You can also configure Zenamu to accept payments in multiple currencies.

My class names look strange — the browser is translating them

If your class names, your studio name, or other text in the schedule appear changed (e.g., "Ženy bez pauzy" showing as "Ženy bez přestávky"), the cause is almost always the browser's automatic translation feature, not Zenamu.

Modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Safari) detect a foreign language on a page and offer to translate it on the fly. Once active, the translation replaces visible text — so the name you see in your browser is no longer the name stored in Zenamu, and your clients (using a different browser language) will see something different again.

How to turn it off (Chrome)

  1. Right-click anywhere on the page.

  2. Choose Translate to … > the three-dot menu > Never translate this site.

  3. Reload the page — the original class names will reappear.

How to verify it's the browser, not Zenamu: open your studio in an incognito/private window or in a different browser. If the original names appear there, the issue is the auto-translation in your normal browser, and the data in Zenamu is fine.

How do I change my studio's time zone?

Your studio's time zone determines how class times are stored and displayed across the public schedule, booking confirmations, and reminder e-mails. Set it once in your studio profile and it applies everywhere.

  1. Open Settings (gear icon in the left sidebar) and go to Studio profile.

  2. Scroll to Choose your time zone and pick the right one from the list.

  3. Save the form. The new time zone applies immediately to all classes, courses, workshops, and appointments.

Note: The time zone selector is filtered by the country set in your studio address. If you don't see the option you expect, first check that the country in Studio profile is correct — for countries with a single time zone (most of Europe), Zenamu uses it automatically and the selector is hidden.

A few things to keep in mind

  • Existing class times don't shift. Changing the time zone only changes how times are interpreted, not the stored values. If you move studios across time zones, double-check upcoming classes after the change.

  • Clients see times in your studio's time zone. If you teach online and your clients are in different countries, the public schedule shows class times in your studio time zone, with the zone indicated next to the time.

  • Cancellation and reminder timings follow the studio time zone. So a "24 hours before" reminder is calculated against the studio time zone, not the client's.
