If you're coming from an older booking system (typically Mindbody, Glofox, ClubReady, Eversports, Momoyoga, and others) and you have clients there on a regular monthly or yearly membership, you'll need to move them over to Zenamu. This article walks you through the recommended approach.
One important thing to know first
Existing recurring memberships can't be transferred automatically from another platform, and there's a good reason for that:
Stripe (and other payment gateways too) stores payment details at the account level. While you were on Mindbody, the client's Stripe profile belonged to them. In Zenamu you have your own Stripe account, and the client's card doesn't exist there.
European payment rules require the client to give fresh consent to the recurring payment on the new platform. Even if you could move the saved card details across, the rules wouldn't allow it without new consent from the client.
The client's contractual relationship was with you through Mindbody. When you move to Zenamu, a new contractual relationship is created, and the client has to give consent again.
So: every client has to buy a new recurring membership in Zenamu themselves. Your job is to make that process as easy as possible and guide your clients through it.
