If a client is at your class and hasn't paid yet, you can let them pay by bank transfer right there. Zenamu shows a QR code on your screen, the client scans it in their banking app and confirms the payment. If a QR code isn't available for your account and currency, Zenamu shows the payment details instead, so the client can enter them in their app.
Which currencies does the QR code work for?
The QR code is only available for payments in EUR and CZK:
CZK to a Czech bank account: the Czech QR Platba standard.
EUR to a Slovak bank account: the Slovak PAY by square standard.
EUR to a bank account in another SEPA country: the European EPC QR code (also known as GiroCode). Whether the client's banking app can read it depends on their bank.
The payment details (amount, account number or IBAN, payment reference and recipient) are shown for all currencies, with or without a QR code. Some banking apps can also read payment details from the screen with the camera, for example the IBAN, so the client doesn't have to type them in.
How do I turn on bank transfer at the venue?
Go to Settings > Payments and turn on Bank transfer. Fill in your bank account there. If you sell in more than one currency, add an account for each currency you want to accept by transfer. Step by step: Setting Up Bank Transfer Payments.
Open the In person payment method and under Accepted at the venue tick Bank transfer (QR).
You can't tick Bank transfer (QR) until Bank transfer is turned on with a bank account filled in.
How do I show the QR code to a client?
Open the class, course or event and find the client in the list of participants.
Next to an unpaid booking, click the QR button (Show payment QR code). If a QR code isn't available for the account and currency, the button says Transfer (Show payment details).
If the client booked with payment in person, Zenamu asks you to confirm that the payment method on the order will change to bank transfer. Click Show QR code (or Show payment details). You can still go Back without changing anything.
The client scans the QR code in their banking app (or enters the payment details) and confirms the payment in the app. The QR code only fills in the transfer; it doesn't pay anything by itself.
Once the money arrives, mark the order as paid. You can do this straight from the same window with Mark as paid, for example when the client shows you the confirmed payment in their app.
The button is also available for bookings that the client already chose to pay by bank transfer and hasn't paid yet.
What changes on the order?
When you confirm the QR code for a booking paid in person, the order's payment method changes from In person to Bank transfer. The money goes to your bank account, so the receipt or invoice shows payment by bank transfer, not payment at the venue. The change is recorded in the order history as Payment method change.
If you have connected your bank account for automatic payment matching (Ultimate plan), Zenamu pairs the incoming payment with the order by itself, and you don't need to mark it as paid. More in Automatic Bank Transfer Payment Matching.
Why can't I see the button, or why does it show a message instead of the QR code?
Bank transfer (QR) isn't ticked for the In person payment method. For bookings paid in person the button only appears when it is.
You haven't filled in a bank account for the currency of the order. Add it under Bank transfer in Settings > Payments.
The booking is already paid, or it's free.
The class, course or event comes from a partner studio through a studio collaboration. Orders for shared events belong to the partner studio, so the hosting studio isn't offered the QR code.
If your studio issues an invoice for bank transfer payments, the client needs a billing address. Add it in the client's detail and try again.
The currency isn't EUR or CZK, or the account doesn't match the currency (for example CZK to a non-Czech account). In that case Zenamu shows the payment details without a QR code.
