What is SmartEmailing?
SmartEmailing is a Czech marketing tool for sending mass emails. You can create traditional newsletters using beautiful pre-designed templates or assemble emails from various customizable elements.
What to Do First
To connect Zenamu with SmartEmailing, you'll need a SmartEmailing account and an API key.
Create a SmartEmailing Account: If you don’t have one, sign up here.
Generate an API Key: In your SmartEmailing admin panel, go to My Account > General Settings, and find the API Key section. Generate a new API token/key. Learn how to generate an API key here.
Once you have your API key, follow these steps in Zenamu:
In Zenamu's admin panel, go to Client List.
Click on Integrations with Email Marketing Tools above the client table.
In the SmartEmailing section, click the Set-Up button.
4. Enter your SmartEmailing credentials:
Username: The email address associated with your SmartEmailing account.
API Key: The API token you generated earlier.
5. Click Save to complete the integration. A new contact list named "Zenamu" will be created in SmartEmailing.
All clients who have "Send newsletters" checked next to their name in Zenamu are uploaded to SmartEmailing as active contacts. Clients without newsletter consent are uploaded too, but their email is set as "unsubscribed".
If someone from your active contacts unsubscribes (by choosing "unsubscribe" in an email sent from SmartEmailing), this change will be reflected in Zenamu as well (the "Send newsletters" checkbox will be unchecked for that client).
Sometimes a client who previously unsubscribed may want to receive newsletters again. In that case, find the client in Zenamu, re-enable the "Send newsletters" option next to their name, and their email in SmartEmailing will be marked as "subscribed" again. The client becomes an active contact in the list once more.
