🧒 Children’s Classes and Child Bookings

Updated over a week ago

When creating a class or course, you can easily set that it’s intended for children.
This option can be found under “Advanced booking settings” when creating or editing a session.

Once enabled, the system automatically marks the session with the “Children” label.

Clients who have their own Zenamu account (with their own login email and password) can then, during booking, choose whether they are reserving a spot for themselves or for a specific child.

If the child isn’t yet saved in their account, they can add them easily during the booking – the system will automatically link the child to the client’s account as their legal guardian.

Unregistered users don’t have this option and will only see a simple booking form asking for basic details — name, surname, email address, and other contact information.

Bookings made in a child’s name will appear in all related orders and accounting documents.

Each order and document displays the child’s name (including date of birth) along with the name of the legal guardian – your client.

If you start offering children’s classes, you’ll be able to search not only by adult names but also by children’s names in your client and order lists.

Children linked to your clients are also visible in the client overview table and in each client’s detail view.

Managing children from the admin

In addition to clients adding children during booking, you can also manage children from the admin panel — for example, when a parent calls and wants to add a child or update their details.

Adding a child

  1. Open the client's (parent's) profile.

  2. In the children section, click the button to add a new child.

  3. Fill in the child's details (first name, last name, date of birth).

  4. Save — the child will be automatically linked to the parent's account.

Editing a child's details

In the client's profile, open the child's record and update the necessary details. Changes will be reflected in future orders and documents.

Common mistakes and tips

  • Child added under the wrong parent — always verify you're in the correct client's profile before saving.

  • Duplicate child profile — if the child already exists, edit the existing record rather than creating a new one.

  • Check after editing — after changing a parent–child link, verify that related bookings are still correct.

FAQ

Does a child need their own Zenamu account?

No. A child does not have their own account. Children are linked to a parent's (legal guardian's) account. The parent logs in with their own credentials and selects the child during booking.

How does a parent manage their child's profile?

After logging in, parents can see their linked children in their profile. They can add new children or update existing details (name, date of birth). You can also manage children from the admin panel in the client's detail.

Can an unregistered parent book a children's class?

Unregistered users will see a simple booking form asking for basic contact details. They won't be able to select a child during booking — this feature requires a registered account.
