How to Upgrade Your Plan

This article is about upgrading your studio's own Zenamu plan, for example from Standard to Expert. If a client wants to switch the variant of their recurring membership, see Changing a membership variant.

If you reach the order limit of your current plan or need a feature from a higher plan, you can upgrade at any time. You pay the full price of the new plan minus a credit for the unused days of your current plan.

Not sure which plan to choose? The full comparison of all plans — current prices, monthly order limits and the complete feature list — is always up to date at zenamu.com/pricing. For a quick orientation, see Which Plan Is Right for You?

How do I upgrade my Zenamu plan?

  1. Open the Plan page. On a computer, click the Plan button in the top bar next to your profile menu. On a phone, open the main menu and tap Plan. Only users with Administrator permissions (the super admin role) can open this page.

  2. Click Upgrade subscription.

  3. Select the new plan. The Prorated charge for plan change box shows the amount you'll pay.

  4. Confirm the order.

You can also start an upgrade from any upgrade dialog in the app by clicking Switch to … with the name of the plan.

Your new plan takes effect as soon as the charge is paid.

You aren't charged twice for the same days: the unused days of your current plan are credited, and a new billing period starts on the day of the upgrade.

On mobile:

Which upgrades are possible?

  • From Standard or Professional to Expert or Ultimate.

  • From Expert to Ultimate. From Expert 2024 (in CZK, EUR or PLN) also to the current Expert.

  • From Lite to Standard, Expert or Ultimate.

  • From monthly to annual billing of the same plan (not on Lite).

From an annual plan, you can only upgrade to another annual plan. If you don't pay for your plan by card, write to us and we'll change the plan for you.

How the upgrade amount is calculated

  1. The system calculates how many days remain in your current billing period and determines a credit for those unused days.

  2. It subtracts this credit from the full price of the new plan.

  3. You pay the resulting amount immediately.

  4. A new billing period (month or year, depending on the plan) starts from that moment.

You'll see the exact amount to pay on the confirmation screen before completing the upgrade.

Example

Current plan: Standard at 16 EUR/month

Billing period: March 1 – March 31 (31 days)

It's March 21 and 10 days remain in the current period. Credit for unused days: 16 / 31 × 10 = 5.16 EUR.

Upgrading to Expert at 32 EUR/month:

  • Full price of the new plan: 32 EUR

  • Credit for unused days: −5.16 EUR

  • Amount to pay: 26.84 EUR

From March 21, a new billing period on the Expert plan begins. The next payment of 32 EUR will be charged on April 21.

Upgrading on the renewal day

If you upgrade on the same day your current period ends, no credit is generated and you pay the full price of the new plan.
