If you are unsure about your VAT obligations or applicable tax rates, consult your accountant or tax advisor.
Non-EU Countries – Enable “I Need to Charge Tax”
These tax rates will be applied automatically to all taxable services and products unless manually overridden.
EU Countries Only – Enable VAT Payer Status
To activate VAT calculation, enter your valid VAT number in Billing Information and enable Issue Payment Receipts.
The system will then automatically issue invoices. Clients will be asked for a billing address during purchase.
Plan restriction: Issuing invoices (tax documents) is available from the Expert plan. On lower plans, the system issues simple payment confirmations.
Not VAT-registered, but a registered business?
If you're a registered business but not VAT-registered, you can choose the document type in your settings:
Receipt (simplified document) -- a simple proof of payment. Client billing information is not required.
Invoice -- a full invoice. Client billing information is required for every order. Available from the Expert plan.
How to Override Tax Rate for a Specific Service
In some cases, you may need to apply a different tax rate to a specific service, event, or product.
Option 1: Override for an Entire Event
Open the specific event and go to Additional Booking Settings.
There, you can set a custom tax rate for that item.
This tax rate will override the default tax rate.
Option 2: Override in Order Detail
You can also change the tax rate for a specific client order, for example if you made a mistake.
This override applies only to that specific order.
Important Notes About Tax Collection
If “Collecting Tax” is disabled, no tax will be applied to bookings or orders.
Tax overrides apply only to the selected service, event, or order.
Changes do not affect already issued payment receipts.
