How to Delete My Account

Zenamu distinguishes between two types of deletion: deleting your personal user account and deleting a studio profile (provider). Each is deleted separately.

Deleting your personal account

Your personal account is the Zenamu account you use to log in. If you delete it, you'll lose access to the entire platform.

Open your profile menu and click User account. Scroll down to the bottom and click Delete personal account.

If you're the founder of a studio, you need to delete the studio profile first (see below) or transfer ownership to another user (see How to set up studio administrators and transfer account ownership) before you can delete your personal account.

Deleting a studio profile

Only the studio founder can delete the studio profile. Deletion is permanent and irreversible — all operational data will be permanently removed.

Where to find profile deletion

Go to Settings › Schedule page and open the Public schedule tab. Scroll to the bottom of the page: the Delete this profile section is there. Click Delete this profile to start.

Alternatively, open your profile menu, click User account and find My studios, the list of studios you've created. Click Delete this profile next to the studio.

What you need to do first

Before deleting the profile, you need to:

  • Cancel your Zenamu subscription (not needed during the trial or on the free Getting Started plan) — open the Plan page (on a computer, the Plan button in the top bar next to your profile menu; on a phone, Plan in the main menu) and click Cancel subscription.

  • Cancel online-paid bookings — all future bookings paid with an online payment method (card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal) must be cancelled manually.

  • Cancel confirmed space rental bookings — all confirmed future space rental bookings must be cancelled.

  • Cancel active recurring memberships — cancel each active recurring membership in its detail in the admin.

  • Disconnect payment integrations — disconnect Stripe Connect, PayPal, and GoCardless in Settings > Payments.

  • Disconnect marketing integrations — disconnect Ecomail, SmartEmailing, MailerLite, or Mailchimp in Settings > Marketing and promo.

If any of these conditions aren't met, the system shows the window Studio can't be deleted with a list of what's left to do. For the plan, payment and marketing items, the list links to the relevant settings.

How the deletion process works

Profile deletion uses a multi-step wizard:

  1. Why are you leaving? — you choose the reason for deleting the profile.

  2. Active bookings or Active client benefits (only if there are future bookings or active memberships, credits, passes, or vouchers) — you confirm that the bookings will be cancelled and the benefits will end, and that you take responsibility for settling any obligations to clients.

  3. Permanent profile removal — you'll see a summary of all consequences and must type your profile domain, then click Permanently remove profile.

What happens after deletion

  • The profile is immediately hidden from the public.

  • All future bookings are cancelled.

  • All operational data is permanently deleted (clients, schedules, orders, products, signed waivers).

  • Employees and instructors receive an email about the profile's closure.

  • Clients with their own Zenamu account receive an email about terminated benefits. Their personal account stays active, and their payment receipts remain accessible.

We recommend backing up your data before deletion.

What is retained

Certain data may be retained for the necessary period in accordance with applicable legal, tax, and accounting regulations. For details, see the Terms of Use.

Your personal account stays

Deleting a studio profile does not delete your personal Zenamu account. You can continue using it, for example as a client at other studios. If you also want to delete your personal account, do so after deleting the studio profile (see above).
