How to Delete My Account

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Zenamu distinguishes between two types of deletion: deleting your personal user account and deleting a studio profile (provider). Each is deleted separately.

Deleting your personal account

Your personal account is the Zenamu account you use to log in. If you delete it, you'll lose access to the entire platform.

Go to My Profile, scroll down to the bottom, and click the button to delete your account.

If you're the founder of a studio, you need to delete the studio profile first (see below) before you can delete your personal account.

Deleting a studio profile

Only the studio founder can delete the studio profile. Deletion is permanent and irreversible — all operational data will be permanently removed.

Where to find profile deletion

Go to Settings > General and scroll to the bottom of the page. You'll find the profile deletion section there.

Alternatively, you can delete your studio profile from My Profile > My studios, where you'll see a list of studios you've created.

What you need to do first

Before deleting the profile, you need to:

  • Cancel your subscription — go to Manage Subscription and cancel the active plan.

  • Cancel online-paid bookings — all future bookings paid with an online payment method (card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal) must be cancelled manually.

  • Disconnect payment integrations — disconnect Stripe Connect, PayPal, and GoCardless in Settings > Payments.

  • Disconnect marketing integrations — disconnect Ecomail, Smartemailing, Mailerlite, or Mailchimp in Settings > Marketing & Promo.

If any of these conditions aren't met, the system will show a notice with a link to the relevant settings where you can resolve it.

How the deletion process works

Profile deletion uses a multi-step wizard:

  1. Confirm bookings (if active bookings exist) — you confirm that they'll be cancelled and that you take responsibility for settling any obligations to clients.

  2. Confirm benefits (if active memberships, credits, passes, or vouchers exist) — you confirm that they'll be terminated.

  3. Final confirmation — you'll see a summary of all consequences and must type your profile domain as the final confirmation.

What happens after deletion

  • The profile is immediately hidden from the public.

  • All future bookings are cancelled.

  • All operational data is permanently deleted (clients, schedules, orders, products, signed waivers).

  • Employees and instructors receive an email about the profile's closure.

  • Clients with their own Zenamu account receive an email about terminated benefits. Their personal account stays active, and their payment receipts remain accessible.

We recommend backing up your data before deletion.

What is retained

Certain data may be retained for the necessary period in accordance with applicable legal, tax, and accounting regulations. For details, see the Terms of Use.

Your personal account stays

Deleting a studio profile does not delete your personal Zenamu account. You can continue using it, for example as a client at other studios. If you also want to delete your personal account, do so after deleting the studio profile (see above).
