Workshops and courses without online booking (information only)

Some instructors want to list a class, course or event/workshop in Zenamu for information only, without online booking. Clients then register through other channels (email, phone, etc.). This article explains which option does that for each type: Don't let clients book this class keeps a class or course on the public schedule without online booking, while hiding removes the item from the public schedule completely. Events and workshops only have the hiding option.

How do I show a class or course on the schedule without online booking?

For classes and courses, you can switch off online booking and keep them visible:

  1. When creating or editing a class or course, expand the Advanced booking settings section.

  2. Check Don't let clients book this class.

  3. The class or course stays visible on your public schedule, but no client can book it online. For a course, this blocks booking the whole course and booking single sessions.

You can still add clients yourself with Add participant in the class or course detail.

How do I hide a class or course from the public schedule?

If the class or course shouldn't appear on the public schedule at all, open Advanced booking settings and check Class isn't publicly visible (for a class) or Course isn't publicly visible (for a course). Clients won't see it on the public schedule, and only you can book clients into it from the admin.

Can an event or workshop stay visible on the schedule without online booking?

No. Events and workshops don't have the Don't let clients book this class option. In the event form, Advanced booking settings only offers Hide from public schedule, and that option does something different:

  1. When creating or editing an event or workshop, expand Advanced booking settings and check Hide from public schedule.

  2. The event won't appear on the public schedule, so clients can't see it or book it. Only you can add clients with Add participant in the event detail.

Hiding an event doesn't keep it visible. If clients should see the event on your schedule and register some other way, use one of the options in the next section.

What should I use for an event that clients should see but not book online?

Create it as a class or course instead of an event, because only classes and courses can be shown without online booking:

  • One-day event: create a one-time class and check Don't let clients book this class in Advanced booking settings.

  • Event over several days: create a course with one session per day and check Don't let clients book this class. Courses count toward the active course limit of your plan.

  • In the description, tell clients where and how to register (email, phone, another form, etc.).

Tip: If only selected clients should attend, hide the class, course or event from the public schedule and add those clients yourself with Add participant in its detail.
