As an administrator, you can define which parts of the studio settings each instructor can access and what actions they can perform once they log into the system. There are three permission levels: Instructor (the default), Manager and Administrator. For a full overview, see Roles and permissions in the admin: who can do what.
Three Levels of Instructor Permissions
Managing Attendance in Their Own Classes
The basic permission level allows an instructor with a registered email (and their own Zenamu account) to manage attendance for the classes and courses they teach. They can't manage attendance for classes taught by other instructors, and they don't have access to other parts of your settings.
This permission is the default for every newly created instructor and doesn't require any additional setup.
This level is ideal for external instructors.
Manager
An instructor with the Manager permission can see attendees for all sessions, schedule new sessions, cancel bookings and manage all orders. They also have access to the client and order overviews. While this grants a higher level of access, they still can't access other parts of the system, such as studio settings (managing other instructors, payment methods, etc.).
This role is ideal for receptionists.
Administrator
The person who originally created the Zenamu account has the Administrator permission. This is the highest level of access and can be granted to other instructors as well. Instructors with this permission can do everything a Manager can, and they have access to all studio settings, revenue statistics and the studio's Zenamu plan (the Plan page).
This role is intended for anyone with full responsibility for studio management and operations.
How do I set permissions for a new instructor?
Adding more instructors to your studio is available on the Expert and Ultimate plans and during the trial.
Go to Settings > Instructors and collaborations.
In the Instructors section, click + Add. The Add new instructor dialog opens.
Fill in the instructor's details. You set the instructor's permissions in the Permissions section at the bottom of the dialog:
If you don’t want to assign extended permissions (Manager or Administrator), tick the GDPR checkbox (Instructor agrees to the processing of their personal data.), click Save, and you’re done.
Otherwise, under Extended permissions, tick Manager. You can tick it only if you've filled in the instructor's email. The Administrator option appears only after you tick Manager, so an Administrator always has the Manager permission too. Then tick the GDPR checkbox and click Save:
How do I change the permissions of an existing instructor?
Go to Settings > Instructors and collaborations and click the instructor. Change the options under Extended permissions and click Save. You can't change your own permissions: when you open your own profile, the Permissions section isn't shown, so another Administrator has to do it.
