Zenamu has several account types and roles. This article gives you a full overview of who can do what in the admin panel.
Account types
Studio -- for fitness studios, dance schools, and similar venues with multiple instructors.
Freelancer (instructor) -- for individual instructors who manage their own schedule and clients.
Client -- the end user who books classes.
Instructor permissions in a studio
Permission | What they can do | Best for |
Instructor (default) | Manages attendance for classes they teach. No access to other settings. | External instructors |
Studio manager | Creates new classes, cancels bookings, manages all attendance and all orders. No access to studio settings. | Front desk staff |
Studio admin | Full access to all settings including billing, instructor management, and subscription. | Co-owners, deputies |
How to add an instructor to your studio
Go to Settings -> Instructors
Click + Add
Fill in the instructor's details
At the bottom of the dialog, set the permission level (instructor / studio manager / studio admin)
How to change an existing instructor's permissions
Go to Settings -> Instructors
Click the instructor's name
Change the permission level
Save your changes
Recommendation: Always assign the lowest permission level the person needs. Expand access gradually as needed.
Suggested role distribution: front desk vs. management
Front desk: day-to-day operations with schedule items, clients, and orders (permission: studio manager).
Studio leadership: configuration, pricing, cancellation policies, and strategic changes (permission: studio admin).
FAQ
An instructor was given too broad permissions -- how do I fix it?
Go to Settings -> Instructors, click the instructor, and lower their permission to the appropriate level.
I don't see the Instructors tab in settings
The Instructors tab is available from the Expert plan and above. Check your plan in Settings -> Manage subscription.
