Waitlist Feature

Updated today

Zenamu's waitlist feature allows clients to book a class even when it is fully booked. This ensures that even if a class reaches full capacity, clients still have a chance to attend if a spot becomes available.

Note: This feature is available for open classes and course classes, and only if you are using the credit pack system, entry pass system, or memberships.

This means you need to offer passes or memberships that your clients can purchase and use to pay for bookings.

When a client with a credit pack or entry pass wants to book a fully booked class, their booking is processed using these credits or entries. The amount used for the booking is held as a deposit until a spot becomes available. This allows the client to be added to the waitlist for that class.

What Happens When a Spot Becomes Available?

The waitlist operates on a FIFO (First In, First Out) basis:

  • First Vacancy: The first client on the waitlist is offered the available spot.

  • Subsequent Vacancies: The second client on the waitlist is offered the next available spot, and so on.

Zenamu automates this process. When a spot becomes available, the client at the top of the waitlist is notified via email, and the previously blocked deposit is fully charged from their account.

What If No Spot Opens Up?

If no spot becomes available, the credits or entries used for the booking are automatically returned to the client’s account.

How to Set Up the Waitlist

To enable the waitlist feature:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Navigate to Class Booking.

  3. Enable the Waitlist option.

Alternative: Watchdog Feature

If you prefer to simply notify clients of available spots without using the waitlist, Zenamu offers the "Watchdog" feature. This allows clients to sign up for email alerts when a spot becomes available.

  • Waitlist Activated: If the waitlist feature is enabled, clients on the waitlist receive priority, and the watchdog does not send an email.

  • No Clients on Waitlist: If there are no clients on the waitlist, the watchdog sends an email alert when a spot becomes available. This alert allows clients to book the spot on a first-come, first-served basis.
