A one-time membership lets a client book the classes, courses, events and appointments that accept it for a set period, for example a month or a semester. It doesn't renew automatically. This article shows how to create a one-time membership and use it as a price. For memberships that renew and charge the client's card automatically, see How to create a recurring membership. If you want to sell a fixed number of visits, use an entry pass instead.
One-time memberships are available on the Expert and Ultimate plans and during the trial.
How do I create a one-time membership?
Go to Settings › Passes and memberships and open the One-time memberships tab.
Click Add membership.
Fill in the Name and Short description. To cap how often members can book, fill in Per day, Per week or Per month (see Memberships: How Booking Limits Work).
Tick Visible to admins only if clients shouldn't be able to buy the membership themselves. You can then only add it to clients from the admin.
Under Membership validity durations, set Valid from purchase (for example 1 month) and the Price. To sell the same membership for several periods, for example 1 month and 3 months, click Add another validity duration.
Click Save.
Clients see your one-time memberships only while Use memberships is ticked on the One-time memberships tab. Zenamu ticks it automatically when you create your first membership.
You can create a new membership in Settings > Passes and memberships:
Choose to add a membership and fill in the form:
If you want to offer different durations for the same membership, add them here:
You can also add durations later: click ⋯ next to the membership and choose Add another validity duration.
How do I let members book a class with the membership?
A membership pays only for classes, courses, events and appointment services that have it in their Price section. When you create a new class, class template, course or event while Use memberships is ticked, Zenamu adds your memberships to its price automatically, without a surcharge. Classes, courses and events that already exist don't get a new membership automatically. To add it, open the class, course or event, click Add another pricing option in the Price section and choose the membership under Memberships:
without surcharge: members book at no extra cost.
with surcharge beyond membership: members pay an extra amount that you enter.
To make a membership valid only for some classes, see Restricting Memberships to Selected Classes.
Now you can use the membership as a pricing option — with or without a surcharge:
How will this be displayed to clients?
For clients who don't have a membership: the membership price is greyed out in the booking form, and its tooltip says You haven't purchased this membership. They can still choose another price that the class offers.
