This article is about repeating a class with the Repeat option in the class form, for example a class every Monday, every 2 weeks, once a month or for a whole year. Zenamu creates a series of separate classes, and clients book each class on its own. Courses and events don't have a Repeat option.
Which repeat options can I choose for a class?
When creating a new class, the Repeat dropdown offers these options:
Doesn't repeat — a one-time class
Daily — every day
Weekly — every week on the same weekday as the class date
Every weekday — Monday through Friday
Monthly — once a month on the same day
Custom — fully customizable interval
For every option except Doesn't repeat, you then choose how the series ends under Repeat ends.
How do I set a custom interval (every 2 weeks, 3 weeks, etc.)?
For non-standard intervals, use the Custom option:
When creating a class, click the Repeat dropdown.
Select Custom.
In Repeat every, set the interval — for example, 2 weeks or 3 months.
If the interval is in weeks, choose the days of the week in Repeat on.
Under Repeat ends, choose On and pick an end date, or choose After and enter the number of occurrences.
The interval can be set from 1 to 12 weeks or months.
How far ahead can a recurring class series go?
The end date of a recurring class series can be up to 1 year after the first class. You can create a whole year of classes in one go. For a longer period, create a new series when the current one is coming to an end.
Recurring classes are available on paid plans and during the trial. On the free plan, the Repeat dropdown is disabled and you can only create one-time classes.
Setup examples
Class every 2 weeks (alternating weeks)
Select Custom recurrence.
In Repeat every, set the interval to 2 weeks.
In Repeat on, choose the day of the week (e.g. Wednesday).
Under Repeat ends, set the end date (up to 1 year after the first class).
Class once a month
Select Monthly from the preset options.
The class will repeat on the same day of the month (e.g. the 15th of each month).
Under Repeat ends, set the end date (up to 1 year after the first class).
Should I use a recurring class or a course?
In a recurring class series, clients book each class separately. If clients should sign up once for all dates, create a course. In a course, you can add any dates without being restricted to a regular interval — simply enter each session date manually. Clients sign up once for the entire course.
Tip: To plan a whole season at once, set the end date of the series up to 1 year after the first class. You no longer need to create a new series every 3 months.
