Note
Zenamu doesn't natively support this feature.
Zenamu can't automatically split an order into parts. However, if this is essential for you, you can work around this limitation as follows:
1. List the Workshop with Double the Capacity
For example, if your workshop is designed for 12 participants, set the capacity to 24.
2. Don't Display the Capacity Publicly
This prevents clients from being confused by the inflated capacity and the number of registered participants.
3. Create Two Pricing Options
Full price -- for clients who want to pay for the entire workshop at once.
Deposit -- add this as an "Additional pricing option".
4. Communicate Payment Terms in the Workshop Description
State clearly that clients need to either pay in full at once or pay the 1st deposit by a specific date.
For example, the 1st deposit must be paid by March 20, 2024.
5. After the Deadline, Update the Workshop Pricing
Delete the 1st deposit pricing option (using the trash icon) so it no longer shows in the listing.
Deleting it won't affect existing orders -- you'll still see orders with the payment type "1st deposit" in the participants overview.
Add a new pricing option for the "2nd deposit" or balance, and direct clients to the workshop detail page to complete the second payment.
6. You'll Have Two Orders per Client
This approach means you'll have two orders for each client (1st deposit + balance) -- that's why we doubled the capacity when creating the listing.
