What Happens When I Reach My Plan's Order Limit or Course and Event Limit?

This article is about two limits of your studio's Zenamu plan: the monthly order limit and the limit on active courses and events. It isn't about the Orders page, where you manage your clients' orders, or about booking limits you set on a client's membership.

  • When you reach the monthly order limit, clients can't make new bookings until the limit resets or you upgrade. Existing bookings stay.

  • Nothing disappears from your schedule because of the order limit — classes, courses and events all stay.

  • The course and event limit is a separate limit: on paid plans you can still create courses and events beyond it, but the ones over the limit aren't displayed in the public schedule and can't be booked.

How does the monthly order limit work?

Each plan allows a certain number of client orders per month:

  • Free: 30 orders

  • Standard: 150 orders

  • Expert: 500 orders

  • Ultimate and the trial: unlimited

  • Older plans: Lite 50 orders, Professional 150 orders

The order limit counts bookings of classes (including single course sessions), whole-course bookings, event bookings and appointments that are paid, awaiting payment or unpaid. Cancelled orders don't count, and neither do purchases of passes, credits or memberships. For details, see What counts as 1 order?

The counter resets every month on the day your plan started, not on the 1st of the calendar month. This applies to annual plans too.

What happens when I reach the order limit?

  • On the public booking page, the booking form of classes, courses and events is replaced by the message "No more bookings are allowed." (in the client's language). This happens whatever the client wants to pay with — card, pass or membership.

  • In the admin, you can't add participants either. The client search in the booking form is greyed out, and a notice says that your plan's monthly order limit has been reached.

  • Existing bookings and orders stay, and your classes, courses and events stay in the schedule.

  • Booking works again once the counter resets or once you upgrade to a plan with a higher limit.

What it looks like in practice

When you've hit the order limit, the symptoms can look like a bug at first — but they're caused by the limit. You or your clients may see one of the following:

  • A class, course or event where the public booking shows "No more bookings are allowed." (in the client's language), even though there are free spots.

  • Clients cannot book at all, whether they want to pay with a pass, membership or card.

  • In the admin, the client search for adding a participant is greyed out and a notice mentions your plan's monthly order limit.

How to verify: Open the Plan page. On a computer, click the Plan button in the top bar next to your profile menu. On a phone, open the main menu and tap Plan. Only users with Administrator permissions (the super admin role) can open this page. Under Plan type, a progress bar shows how many orders have been used out of your limit; hover over it to see how many more orders your clients can place and until when. If the limit is used up, this is the cause. To restore booking, upgrade your plan or wait until the counter resets.

Course and event limits

In addition to the order limit, some plans limit how many courses and events can be active at the same time. A course or event is active until it has ended, unless it's cancelled. Single classes and appointments have no such limit.

  • Free: no courses and no events

  • Standard: 2 active courses and 3 active events

  • Expert: 15 active courses and unlimited events

  • Ultimate and the trial: unlimited courses and events

  • Older plans: Lite 1 course and 3 events, Professional 5 courses and unlimited events

On paid plans, you can still create courses and events beyond the limit. The courses and events that start first stay within the limit. The ones over it get the Over plan limit tag in Courses & events, and your clients don't see them in the public schedule and can't book them. You may notice this as:

  • An event or course that seems to disappear from the public schedule, even though the capacity is far from full.

  • A new course or event you just created is not visible on your public profile or schedule plugin.

Tip: If you've reached the course or event limit but some of your courses have already finished, check their dates. A course stops counting once its last session has ended, and an event once it has ended. Cancelled courses and events don't count either. To have more active at the same time, upgrade to a higher plan.
